The French to English translation of an Anglo-Saxon investment fund’s financial report made it possible for the agency to get a foot in the door of the financial translation market.

Financial translation is a high added-value service. Any discrepancies between the source text and the translation could lead to varying interpretations and cause market reactions. Financial translations thus require genuine technical expertise on the part of the translator or team of translators involved in the project.

Atenao landed a new large-scale finance project for an Anglo-Saxon investment fund: the translation of a 60,000 word financial report from English to French.

The key to success: projecting an image of quality

This image that was emphasized in the initial text had to be clearly rendered in the translation, while maintaining a clear and simple style, in order to convey the message well.

Technical expertise

There are various professions in the finance industry, and therefore various specializations. The translation of our client’s financial report required several skills (a legal part, and an accounting part), specializations that required us to establish a pool.
